Genuine or faux leather

Genuine leather coasters have natural grain differences from piece to piece and darken slightly over time. Faux leather and leatherette coasters are uniform in color, cost less and handle spills without staining. Both come in round and square shapes, usually around 4″ across, in black, brown, tan and two-tone versions.

Deboss, laser or print

Debossing presses the logo into the leather and needs no ink, so it never wears off. Laser engraving burns a lighter or darker tone into the surface and handles fine detail and individual names. Printing in full color is possible on light leatherette, but on dark leather a one color deboss or engraving looks cleaner.

Sets and holders

For client gifts, a set of four or six coasters in a matching leather holder or gift box arrives ready to give. For bars and restaurants, single coasters in bulk are the practical choice. Leather coasters with a metal medallion are listed under coin coasters.

Questions buyers ask

Can each leather coaster be personalized with a name?

Yes, laser engraving can add individual names or monograms. There is usually a per-name charge, and you send the list with the order.

Do leather coasters absorb water?

Leather repels light spills but is not absorbent like stone or paper. Condensation from a cold glass beads on top and can be wiped off.
