Pulpboard, paperboard and absorbent paper
Pulpboard is thick, absorbent board made from wood pulp, used for the traditional bar coaster. Paperboard coasters are thinner and often sold in perforated sheets. Absorbent paper coasters with a printed top layer are softer and soak up more moisture.
